Dudley Square Design Project Announces Second Public Meeting

The Dudley Square Complete Streets Design Project will be holding it’s second meeting with the community on Monday March 11, 2013 at the Dudley Branch Library from 6-8pm. The central topic of the  meeting will be review of circulation concepts for the Square.

Since the last meeting the design team has taken public comment, traffic analysis, previous Dudley Square planning, input from the Ferdinand building design team, information from the Branch Library study, MassDOT, the MBTA and City agencies to develop our first set of concept drawings.

The BTD led initiative aims to develop design plans for reconstruction of Dudley Square intersections and streetscape in support of ongoing and future development including the Ferdinand Building and former Area B-2 Police Station.

Special emphasis will be given to developing plans that improve the multimodal environment of Dudley Square that build on previous planning initiatives and create an overall safer and more pleasing experience for the users.
