The City Seeks Parklet Designs

Parklet-LOGO_UpdatedThe City of Boston has released a Request for Proposals for a team to design and build the City’s first parklets.  Parklets temporarily convert on-street parking spaces to small public spaces that offer various uses for enjoyment- encouraging foot traffic and providing new places for communities to connect.   Designers are tasked to examine 3 to 4 locations to be installed in  Spring 2013.  Parklets is a project coordinated through the City’s Complete Streets Initiative and the Mayor’s Office of New Urban Mechanics.
